IN THE ANCIENT MINE, THE COLOR OF THE SKY
The oldest Turquoise stone was used for a necklace approx 8000 Years ago.
Found in Egypt, the artifact has a stone that definitely comes from a Persian mine. Iran bordering Turkey to the west is the state that has been a fixed destination for its traders since ancient times. From east to west, the splendid stone enchants everyone. The French call it "Turquoise" because it is the Turkish sellers who make it known and trade it.
Fortunately this beautiful stone is present in almost all continents, although not in large quantities. Several mines have run out of veins, others have been abandoned. Turquoise stone has different colors depending on the rock that hosts it and the presence of minerals combined with each other. From the blue of the sky to the blue of the sea; with many variations of green and even shades of yellow, gray and white. In the oldest mine in North America that of Cyril, which is located near Santa Fe, Turquoise is born and formed at the base of a volcano. The ancient Pueblo tribe harvested stone that rose from the ground with each jolt of the geological structure. Towards the end of 1870 the mine was abandoned because everyone was looking for silver. It was later taken over by a very important American jewelry company; which resumed the extraction of the Turquoise stone from 1892 al 1899. With the precious material they created spectacular jewels to the delight of wealthy customers; such was the success of these unique pieces, that still today to celebrate all the personalized packaging(tins, bags etc.) it's in the color 1837 created by Pantone.
This color exists only for them, it cannot be purchased; because it is the symbol and the foundation date of this company born in Manhattan and famous throughout the world.
IN THE BLUE PAINTED BLUE
As a child,I've always played with colors, creating unusual combinations when dressing the dolls. My friends' moms, they didn't understand why I didn't wear the "outfits" as they were created; I found it very funny to turn everything upside down and I liked it a lot . Earrings ,rings and necklaces; the only complication was to put the bracelets on because they didn't exist. I made them in paper and often colored them in blue and green, silver and orange; a color palette that I still like a lot today. Now that I'm grown up and thanks to the work I've chosen to do, I can get rid of whims “temporarily”. I love to buy Silver, Coral and Turquoise; I really like this stone and its variegated color combined with Silver. Beautiful bracelets with set stones, finely crafted earrings, rings and necklaces; my "treasures" do not last long, but until the next customer I can enjoy their company!
